The headlines Thursday morning will be about how Donald Trump declined to say he will accept the result of the election.

But turn to Twitter — that barometer of immediate public opinion — and the topic that was trending higher than the Supreme Court, Chris Wallace and Putin was … #badhombres.
Yes, it was another debate, spawning another meme, thanks to what we can only surmise was an off-the-cuff remark.
During a discussion about his stance on immigration reform, the Republican presidential nominee reiterated his stance on deporting undocumented immigrants and used a Spanish word to make his point.

Cleveland Indians Down Blue Jays, Advance To World Series:

The Cleveland Indians advanced to the World Series, shutting out the Toronto Blue Jays 3-0 Wednesday to win the American League Championship Series.

The Indians will play the eventual National League champion on Tuesday in Cleveland in the first game of the World Series. The Los Angeles Dodgers lead the Chicago Cubs by two games to one in the series for the National League crown.
The Dodgers and Cubs play the fourth game of the series Wednesday at 8 p.m. ET at Dodger Stadium.
Cleveland won the ALCS four games to one. The Indians haven’t played in the World Series since 1997, when they lost to the then-Florida Marlins. The team hasn’t won the World Series since 1948, when Cleveland beat the then-Boston Braves.

New York Knicks point guard Derrick Rose and his friends, Randall Hampton and Ryan Allen, were cleared of all charges stemming from a civil rape lawsuit in a Los Angeles court Wednesday, according to the New York Post‘s Julia Marsh.

Marsh reported the jury came to a decision following three hours and 45 minutes of deliberation.

New York Police ‘Failed’ In Fatal Shooting Of Woman, Commissioner Says:

The New York Police Department “failed” when an officer killed a 66-year-old mentally ill woman who attacked him with a baseball bat in a Bronx apartment, police Commissioner James O’Neill said Wednesday.

“We do have policies and procedures for handling emotionally disturbed people, and it looks like that some of those procedures weren’t followed,” O’Neill said during a speech to the Citizens Crime Commission in Manhattan. “What is clear in this one instance is we failed.”
Mayor Bill de Blasio said deadly force should only be used in “dire situations.”

After nearly being hunted to extinction, southern right whales in Australia are making a comeback — with the help of drones.

Researchers from Australia’s Murdoch University have teamed up with the World Wide Fund Australia and are using drones for the first time to check on the health of the endangered species.
They’re monitoring southern right whales in the Great Australian Bight and have revealed that females lose an extraordinary amount of weight while fattening up their calves, before journeying back to Antarctica.
