CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) – On Wednesday, September 8th, President Obama will deliver remarks on the economy at Cuyahoga Community College West Campus in the Cleveland Area.
This event is open to invited guests only and will begin around 2 p.m. Guests include students and faculty of Cuyahoga Community College, elected officials, and members of the Greater Cleveland community.
The President is expected to talk more about his plans for the economy and his proposal that would allow companies to immediately write off 100% of any new investments in plants and equipment through next year. Businesses can currently write off those investments, but only over a three to twenty year period.
The proposal would allow companies to keep more cash. The administration says this would amount to a 200-billion dollar tax cut that would affect 1.5 million businesses.
